Bells of Doom by susale

Bells of Doom

No photos for you today but a filler. These bells are from Greece, not very summerly or even look like a holiday pic. I know you probably think that didn´t I have some beautiful views to share or at least something more holiday-ish, a sunset perhaps. But no, I go all gloomy and upload this. What can I say, I´m a very complex woman.

This is a reminder that I still have that Greece holiday album pretty much completely unedited and I´ve promised to do so weeks ago, really have to get it done this weekend. We have travelled together with the same company several times and we always share our holiday pics to each other. It got pretty boring to have several thousand practically same kind of pics, so we decided that not everyone would have to take pics in this trip. In Greece only I and one other person took care of the main photographing, her pics have been ready for sharing for weeks now, all I´ve given is promises and everyone is waiting for me to do my share. Oh why did I have to take 2000 pics!
Superb capture... love the pov and processing!

What a great B&W. Is that rain or processing? I feel for you with the 2000 photos. It can be rather daunting.

Beautiful shot, love the processing. I don't envy you having to work through 2000 pictures

That is a lot of photos for a week! Sounds a bit overwhelming.:) I like how you guys chose to do it though...teamwork...Yes you are complex and yes, I want to see some colorful Greece shots! However, I do love the tones and perspective on these lovely bells. I bet they sounded awesome too..not doomy! :):)

I don't see how you could have photographed those bells any better, so well done, complex woman :)

@pandora Thank you Susan, it´s always nice to hear others like my work

@hick Thank you Dave, I´m pretty happy with this processing myself too

@bristolrose Thank you Kathryn, fun isn´t the word I´d use but I´m sure it´s not that big task cos part of those pics are going to go to be deleted anyway and the rest, well little processing and it´s done, hopefully

@sgiesman Thank you Sarah, it´s processing and yes a bit daunting perhaps, lol

@sturnus Thank you Carol, I don´t envy myself either, at times like this I really wish I´d have those nubblets...

@nanderson Thank you Nancy, maybe I´ll show you some colors of Greece, when I get those pics edited, I´m sure there will be something more worth sharing with you all. I didn´t get to hear these bells but your probably right, I don´t think those bells sound doomy, it´s only the processing that makes them look a bit sinister and my state of mind last night was a bit gloomy. Yes it´s a big task, I could just give all my pics and let everybody do the editing themselves but really want to so it myself, I´m sure it´s a couple of hours worth the editing, maybe I´ll open a bottle of wine tonight and it will go very smoothy...

@janim Oh my, what a compliment from you, thank you. The complex woman is speechless (for once).

@tristansmum Thank you Stephanie, yes I like this POV myself too, they looked all so doomy from this angle all covered in mist and the processing helped a bit too ;)

@jodimuli Thank you Joey, you are being far too kind, as always

@mercuria Thank you Ariel, I´m sure I will, cos I´ll start my three weeks paid holiday today, I could not be any happier...or in need of a holiday :)

love the b and w and wouldn't mind seeing when you put the color back in only one area....like on the bells. I don't know what it's called...maybe selective coloring. ??
