I think the shadows and highlights & contrasts are all in good balance, so if the tone bothers you, how about just going b&w ? Maybe a hint of coldness = blue tone could add to the mood too... just some ideas. The shot is actually awesome, I love the ripple pattern on the tree top reflection. Faved.
@janim Because simple b&w is booring in this, or at least today it felt like it, but yes blue and a colder tone would have been better choice and it does look better, thanks again for ideas and for the fave. Oh my, I thank you for the fav but most of all I´m just happy I´m not the only one who finds these reflections fascinating.
@sturnus Thank you Carol, it makes me very happy you see it too, sometimes I wonder why the reflections intrigue me so much and do others see it too. Blue tone does looks better, I tied it on this
@nanderson Thank you Nancy, I'm glad you liked it. The sky was very grey when I took this pic, there was no blue on water or in sky, I could have added it with editing but thought the grey tone makes the reflections stand out more.
It's good. You've managed to get the trees all looking distinct and different instead of a mass of uniform tones. They look soft and feathery. As they form the main part of the shot, that really matters. The tones here are fine, don't worry about them.
@sansjuan Thank you Nita, oh you too like reflections, wonderful! I thought the b&w was a bit lame here, the tones highlight the reflections more. Colours of that red house and dark green trees were great but it was really grey day so no colours on water or sky, that's why the monochrome tones were chocen
@tstb Thank you Tineke, b&w is great for many pics but here it just was so depressing, maybe cos most of the year it's very grey here, I just can't bare it on summer too.
@mercuria Thank you Ariel for such insightfull comment. Sometimes it's just so hard to get the right effect especially when I don't even know what I'm really looking for.
@bernadette Thank you so much Bernadette, I'm glad you like the reflections too. I think the blue tone works here well and I hope it would be possible to change the pic without loosing the comments.
Love it as is...
@wind_of_the_sothern_sea Thank you Arefin for your kind comment
@tristansmum Thank you Stephanie for your time and comment
@amrita21 Thank you Amrita, that is a very lovely thing to say
