Gorgeous snow shot! So well presented... Glad you enjoy the snow...though it is so pretty in photographs I do not like the disruption it causes in day to day living. Fun to go to and play in it though. Hope you are feeling better. I would send you some warmth and sun if I could!!
Yay to snow... I think? Personally you're welcome to it, I want heat. You must get loads if there's so much already. we have lots of wind and rain... Love the overhanging branch
@ingrid2101Thank you Ingrid, snow is fun for a while and after all the rain and dakness it´s welcomed, Actually there´s really little snow, it´s just white background.
@eyesmile Thank you Gena, the heatness and sun would be so welcome so you you can think a way to send those here, I´d be really grateful :) I too hate the disruption it causes, especially on traffic and I absolutely hate the slippery roads but after the darkness I welcome the snow to lighten things a bit
Funny how much a bit of snow cheers you up ... I like the high-key vibe in this shot. I think I would've tried monochrome edit with this one though. Could look cool to go even more minimalistic with this idea...?
@janim Thanks :) I did try monochrome but it just looked too grey and I wanted something brighter and that green adds some of it here, for me at least. Mustavalkosella editillä tuli sellanen ankee olo, samanlainen ku mitä pikkasen lunta tekee jollekin tosi ränsistyneelle pihamaalle, tiet varmaan mitä tarkotan, sellanen Dingon "sataa ulkona lunta, se kaiken saa näyttämään vanhalta" -fiilis. Lumi piristää joo :)
Not sure how you do the monochrome conversion, but I like to use GIMP's "Decompose". It creates three monochrome versions of the shot, based on blues, reds and greens. Then you can just select the best version or mix them together however you want. It's pretty amazing how much you can have control over the image this way.
