I love the drama created by the tones but I too am finding the wall a little over-whelming.
I like the sense of girl/woman created by the way your god daughter is holding the teddy bear. Great concept and it has a lovely, haunting, timeless feel to it.
It's a little dark for me overall and I agree with those above who say the wall competes with your God-daughter (did I remember that right?). I think I'd like the wall out of focus and her in focus, maybe with some softening around the edges like a vignette. It's still very good though!
@virtualbrownie@vstap@dulciknit@olivetreeann@swilde@tristansmum Thank you very much all for your feedback. You are absolutely right about the wall, it´s funny how I didn´t see it, I just knew that something was off here. This shot actually was not taken in purpose, this is just one of those test pics, this one just had something that appealed to me and I wanted to see if I could make it work despite it was too dark and out of focus. Now I got an idea from this, thanks to you all!
It does certainly work to tell a story of sadness or loneliness or longing from a bygone era. Certainly a picture not merely to be judged as a "snapshot", but to be viewed in a specific context. Great work, I think!
