The model looks fine in this low key shot but I might have softened the wall a bit. Love her pose - you must have had so much fun doing these

I like the soft dreamy feel.

I agree with virtualbrownie on the wall. It competes with your main subject a bit. Love the dreamy feel of the girl, though. Nice set of photos.

I agree with Lorraine. It creates drama and emotion.

I love the drama created by the tones but I too am finding the wall a little over-whelming.
I like the sense of girl/woman created by the way your god daughter is holding the teddy bear. Great concept and it has a lovely, haunting, timeless feel to it.

It's a little dark for me overall and I agree with those above who say the wall competes with your God-daughter (did I remember that right?). I think I'd like the wall out of focus and her in focus, maybe with some softening around the edges like a vignette. It's still very good though!

I'd like to see more light on her face. I like the idea behind the shot but she shoud be the feature. As it is the wall is the feature

Well, I like it. But I agree with others that a more out-of-focus wall would be a good idea.

@virtualbrownie @vstap @dulciknit @olivetreeann @swilde @tristansmum Thank you very much all for your feedback. You are absolutely right about the wall, it´s funny how I didn´t see it, I just knew that something was off here. This shot actually was not taken in purpose, this is just one of those test pics, this one just had something that appealed to me and I wanted to see if I could make it work despite it was too dark and out of focus. Now I got an idea from this, thanks to you all!

Could be cool as overexposed - the white pattern on the wall merging into the dress....

@janim Yes I see what you mean, it´s kind of cool idea...

It does certainly work to tell a story of sadness or loneliness or longing from a bygone era. Certainly a picture not merely to be judged as a "snapshot", but to be viewed in a specific context. Great work, I think!

Very nice!!

Looks favulous to me!

I really like the composition but do agree that the wall takes over. I like Jani's idea of over exposing, it could look really cool!

I really like it
atmosphere is wonderful

simply wonderful! Love the b&w processing

It does for me if the story is intended to be 'dark' (sadness, moody, lonely, etc).
