This is an old pic from last fall. Taken in Säkylä, Pyhäjärvi Finland.
I love sunsets and I have tons and tons of pics of this subject. I don´t think it´s very difficult to photograph them, I mean you pretty much just have to be there with a camera ready and the nature takes care of the rest. Still I am always there whenever I have a chance and I am always snapping away hoping to get that one perfect sunset shot, the one that makes it pointless to take any more shots of the subject cos nothing you could ever take could top that one. At the same time I don´t want to miss one second of the sunset cos in fact every second of a sunset is unique and will never happen again. I don´t want to miss that one perfect second so I have to capture them all.
It´s kind of sad actually cos by snapping away I miss this great show happening in front of me. It´s very different experience to look at the sunset and enjoy it. Without the camera. I think every sunset is unique, there´s never one quite like the other. You can never say you have seen enough sunsets, that you don´t need to see any more cos you have seen them all. No you never have and never will. I think now on I will look at more sunsets and photograph them less.
Gorgeous saturated colors! I know what you mean about sunset photos. They are captivating - yes, relatively easy to capture if you're in the right place at the right time and each has its own beauty. Always on a quest for the perfect sunset.
