X-ray trees by susale

X-ray trees

It kind of looks like an x-ray, doesn´t it. I am no radiologist, but these trees don´t look quite ok
Very cool

@sangwann Kind of yes, I just fear there would be cancer in the lungs, those white spots are no good sign :(

Since they mostly take x-rays of bones, I'm pretty sure you wouldn't want your bones looking like this. But as for trees- the shot reminds me of a batik-dyed material. Nice!

@olivetreeann Yes mostly of bones but x-ray for instance of lungs can be taken when looking for cancer or pneumonia as well and they both can be seen in x-rays, I think they appears as white or grey spots. You are so right this pretend x-ray is definitely not something one would like to see, there´s clearly something wrong here ;-)

@emrob Yes, for me too, lots of little neurons and dendrites there

Love this. The tonal inversion works beautifully to bring out the structure of the trees.
It's fascinating how often there are, in Nature, echoes of structures - like tree skeletons and neural pathways.
Fav.
