This old roller........

I have an old roller in my garden that has not actually been used for many a year, it sits quietly rusting and gathering moss and ivy..........

Thankyou everyone for your lovely supportive comments it really helps the motivation. My challenge to myself this week is to keep my sigma 70-300mm lens on the camera,I've never got on with it very well so I hope to rectify that in the next week or so...........

Rust always looks so great in pictures. Moss looks great in pictures. Ivy looks great in pictures - and here it is all together composed in to a beautiful image. Wonderful picture, makes me think of things being forgotten...

I like all the contrasts in this photo- smooth vs rough, soft vs hard, etc., as well as the variety of textures- the rust, the moss, the straw-like growth, the ivy. It makes for a very interesting photo.
