A few years ago we had 3 Chickens who used to love the berries of this shrub, which I think is a Snowberry. When the lower berries were gone they would take running jumps up to the higher ones. It kept us amused for hours watching them.
I'm pretty sure it doesn't normally get the berries in August, our weather seems to be causing nature some confusion.
The wasp is actually an unplanned bonus to the shot
hello a stunning capture and loving your guest joining your shot Fav great detail. never heard of or seen this bush before is lovely, do the ducks like it ? :)
Wonderful! It does seem strange that the berries are ripening so early. I can just imagine the chicken antics ... we kept hens a while ago and I know the things they get up to!
Pretty buds, flowers and bokeh too. And the wasps are just everywhere here. Your title had me almost believing the berries were called chicken berries, and I loved the mental image of the chickens jumping up to capture them.
Thank youfor you so nice wishes dear Suzanne.
