Helichrysum Icicles by suzanne234

Helichrysum Icicles

Or Licorice plant, so called because the leaves are meant to smell of it when crushed.
Maybe I got a duff one, or it was wrongly labelled, I cant get the smell at all
Beautiful colour with a great dof.

An interesting plant which I don't know. You managed to present the lovely blooms in a great image.

I've never come across one of these before. And no liquorice scent? Maybe you should take it back?

I have never heard of it either, not that I would be too keen as I don't like licorice. Makes a good image though

@lovingandsharing Thank you Kay, I was trying to focus on just the front flower, but haven't managed it very well :-))) The flowers should come back, its a very small not very exciting flower to be honest, the plant is mainly grown for its silver leaves. It should be a nice dome of leaves but the ducks sit in it!!

@suzanne234 that made me laugh, those ducks work well as a flower press. lol

@pyrrhula Ahh, I should have noticed that, congratulations, that's an awful lot of work gone into your images.

@suzanne234 Thank you. It`s just a small amount of all the pic.`s I`ve capture sinds I enjoy 365.
For example, last Sunday, I did go to the country, with my wife, and took 110 pic.`s that day. 365 keep me going.

Thank you all for taking the time to comment, its very much appreciated. The flower is small and not especially attractive. The plant is mainly grown for its pretty silver leaves. I too only found out it was called a licorice plant when I looked today to find its common name, I was surprised to find it called this, as it really doesn't smell of it!

Beautiful, and great capture...fav

Well done on the selection of odd numbers for the flowers. Nice and sharp then fading away. Works well. Maybe a fraction brighter to give it a bit more punch? Fav
