Happy Halloween.
I took the sunset for the bat cave a few weeks ago, the bats however, aren't real :))
Strangely enough, I did once find a bat in my bath. luckily it wasn't full of water. He was just in the bottom of it, looking up at me with his little bat eyes. Not really knowing what to do with him, I rang the bat protection league who asked me to keep it for the night and they would collect him the next day.
Sure enough, the next day a nice man made a 40 mile trip to come collect the little fella. He weighed and inspected the little one, which turned out to be an underweight common pipistrelle He took the bat into his care but wasn't very hopeful it would survive..
After a few weeks of feeding it up, the nice man brought the now fat little bat back for release. We watched as he flew a few circuits around the garden and then off he went to join his family. It was a proud moment, I was happy he was back.
I have tagged it for the ETSOOI-89 challenge, even though I'm technically not allowed to enter!
Thank you so much for your recent favs and comments, they are so very appreciated. Colin the cat was especially chuffed with all the love.
Oh what a happy story, I'd love to see one for real. We have them flying around the garden in the summer but they're very small and very quick. This is really inventive, well done!
We do n`t have Halloween in Holland.
