The crows nests

I'm not sure if these are crows or rooks but I quite like to hear them coming back to their nests after a morning in the fields.

Your comments are always appreciated, thank you very much.
Not sure if rooks are ravens? I can tell you quite a few differences between the two if that's the case.... GREAT capture !

@jeanniec57 Thank you :) We have a colony across the road from us who nest up in the trees. They are quite a big bird with a bare face above the bill. As yet, I have not been able to capture ours coming home.
These sounded the same but I was too far away to see any detail but their nest also looked the same as the ones in our village. (taken near the coast in Lincolnshire if that is anything to go by) Thank you for stopping by :)

I think they are crows. In any case, closely related. I like the collective noun for a group of crows - a "murder". Where did that come from??? 😎

@peadar Blame Alfred Hitchcock I say :)

There's a Theme for Flight at the moment, this would be just the thing:)

Crows are more social than ravens... but because I work with both species at our rehab center for injured wildlife I respect both for their intelligence....

@fbailey Ahh bless you, I doubt these are up to the standard but it is always fun to participate in these :)

they look like they have been randomly thrown up into the sky to create your picture. It has a lovely balance about it.

There's quite a few of them. Maybe a large family group. Lovely shot.

Great shot and silhouettes. Shots like this remind me of Hitchcock's film "The Birds".

Crows? Ravens? Rooks? I don't know the difference. I think we only get crows here.
