It's been such a dull and drizzly day today and my only offering was of a few holly berries. So I'm continuing my current mini starling obsession with this diptych taken on my return yesterday. So many of the power cables had hundreds of starlings just sat sitting, waiting for what ever it is that triggers them off to perform their aerial acrobatics. The other shot is of a mini murmuration, the one the day before must have been 20 times bigger than this. At least if I do get to see a big one again, I will know not to zoom in so far so the whole effect can be seen.
Suzanne it is great to see the whole effect, I agree. The two photographs go well together and I just love that line of starlings on the wires. Wonderful.
@terryliv Haha, no starlings or power lines were harmed in the making of this shot...but then again I didn't use a flash and I didn't have my jarmas on :)
