Fort Mott was built in the 1890's as part of the harbor defenses of the Delaware River, together with Fort Delaware and Fort Dupont. It was manned through the mid 1920's, and eventually became a state park in 1947. Walking around while maintaining social distance was much easier here than at the grocery store, with much better scenery.
