I have posted many shots of the Phoenix in port in Charlestown, I have also performed on her decks to entertain the paying customers....... however this is the first time I have been out at sea and she has come across my bows in full sail.
It really is an awesome sight, like stepping (or even sailing) back in time. There seems to be some gathering of working sail ships in St. Austell bay at the moment so I hope to capture some shots of them more in the next few days.
@cottiac I am part of a Cornish rocky sea shanty group called the Pirates of St. Piran. We perform all over Cornwall and Devon doing our own unique brand of edgy, rocky and rumbustious sea shanties. We also do sword fighting, flintlock and cannon displays as well as staging plays and dramatic presentations. Here is a link to our latest music video I'm the one playing the lute type guitar. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2whgya8AHMs
just a wonderful image - last year we came across the Endeavour replica near Maria Island, Tasmania - and I found it not so easy to get a great image like yours. well done
