Lots of tourists to feed and funnily enough, they usually want fresh caught fish dishes.
The fish doesn't get any fresher that it is in Mevagissey. Usually it's still flopping about in the crate when it's delivered to the local restaurants.
@joansmor Some of the shops around the harbour do get flooded several time a year at the high tides. They all seem to be used to it and lift everything up off the floor when a particularly high tide is expected. Most of the buildings are around the inner harbour s the outer harbour wall takes the brunt of any incoming storm.
