Is it just me....... or is all this Black Friday nonsense just a bunch of tosh and piffle, designed to con people into believing that they are getting a bargain, when in fact they are just buying some cheap crap products specially bought in by retailers for this Muppet milking fest they call Black Friday.
I spent all day round the shops in Wadebridge and all I purchased were 3 saucy mermaid post cards for 50p each. It was probably more than they were worth, but us pirates can never resist a saucy mermaid. :)
I detest Black Friday and everything it represents. I nearly find it hilarious that it begins less than 24 hours after Thanksgiving, it's unbelievably ironic. love your turbines and that gorgeous sky
I was told (many years ago by American friends) that it was so called because the day after Thanksgiving is the first official day of Christmas (Santa arrives at Macy's) and shops exploded with people out to start buying for Christmas - hence the black (sheer volumes of spenders). Why we have to 'adopt' it is quite bizarre really.
