Kitty

showing off her new festive hair colour.

That's it.... apart from the total madness of the pre-Christmas food buying expedition, we are ready. Bring it on.

Why is it that the week before Christmas, the supermarkets are full of people that have obviously not been there since last Christmas. They have no idea of Trolley control and keep ramming them into strangers backs..... No concept of food aisle etiquette. Groups of 8 of more gather at major intersections and stand there chatting for 20 minutes, completely oblivious to the fact that have brought the entire supermarket to total standstill. I have been caught in such snarl ups which have resulted in cranes being brought in to remove gridlocked trollies from the Turkey section....... and the Red Cross delivering blankets by parachute to those poor souls who have been trapped in the frozen food section for hours.

Those annoying people who manage to spread themselves and their trolley across an 8 foot stretch of shelving while they spend 10 minutes performing complex calculations and comparisons regarding the beans per buck ratio of six different brands of baked bean. They always look so offended when you loose patience and move their trolley out the way.

Then there are the idiots who stand at the checkout with a mile long queue behind them saying. "Oh it shouldn't be a problem, there's loads of money in the account, OK try this card and see it works.... no..... Oh OK. Hold on I'll just phone the bank ad transfer some money into the account, it'll only take a minute..... oh damn, there's no signal in here. Hold on I'll just go out to the car park and get my husband."

The only way to survive this living hell is to be prepared with a concise shopping list....... and go into ninja shopping mode. Get in do your job and get out as quickly as possible without anyone even noticing you are there.

I also find that going at 3am in the morning helps.
At least then you only have to fend off the odd drunk and the occasional stoned looking couple with a basket full of chocolate and cigarette papers.

Ah the joys of Christmas.
haha....I'll just dig out the camo paint for our shopping mission then...

It always amazes me how much stuff people buy for a couple of days and I bet they throw a lot of it away. The secret is to really plan and get it over early- I have done mine and won't be going near a shop until Christmas is well and truly over. Fav for this nice shot

Ha ha, lovely shot and story. You should come to Australia, at least our weather is hot at Christmastime and our supermarket queues aren't as long as yours. We are inundated with tourists at this time of year though so us locals tend to hibernate until February when the summer holidays are over.

Haha aaah yes the joys of the Christmas rush... I am one to shop either extremely early in the day or very late at night - I cannot stand the crowds! Ms Kitty as lovely as ever, I really like the hair... A merry Christmas to you both, dear Billy Flynn.
