I love old electrical equipment like this. It reminds me of the Victorian pioneers, Edison, Tesla, Bell and their like. They must have been such exciting times.
We live in an early Victorian Villa built in 1846, and I have had to replace all of the original Victorian electrics (with the exception of the beautiful white Bakelite light switches). I am amazed that the house didn't burn down years ago. Some of the wiring was the old fabric wrapped type cable and was so old, the fabric just crumbled to dust as you touched it. All safe and rewired now thankfully.
I am currently in the process of building an Electric Bass guitar ..... but not just any old bass guitar, this will be a sort of Steampunk inspired model which I have named the Tesla bass. I will posts some pictures when it is complete. :)
