We used to run an alternative gift shop and clothing emporium, that sold all manner or fabulous, exotic and beautiful clothing. This dress is one of many that Kitty has in her extensive wardrobe (three wardrobes and numerous storage boxes under the bed if truth were told).......... Every new item that came into stock, we would bring a sample home for her to model to put on the website............... Most of these items never made it back to the shop.
So many customers would say "I'd love a beautiful dress like that, but where would I ever wear it?" Kitty's answer was simple "I wear mine all the time, whenever I go out. I even wear it to go shopping in ASDA. Life is too short not to be the most fabulous version of who you are and every day should be a special occasion."
Hardly a week goes by without some total stranger stopping her in the street to tell her how fabulous she looks.

A while ago, a friend of mine inherited a load of photographic studio lighting equipment that she had no use for, so she gave it to me.
So obviously I have been having great fun experimenting with it. There are stands, lights, diffusers umbrellas, beauty boxes, reflectors. remote flash triggers. up lighters, down lighters, etc etc..... Not sure I know what to do with half of it. but it was fun playing.
So as Kitty has a new funky pink hair do..... and as she does scrub up rather well for a 70 year old :) she was my obvious choice for a model.
As you can imagine I took hundreds of photos, so have decided to have a kitty week and post some of my favourites on here
I love that Kitty doesn't need a special event to wear something...I wish I had the figure to wear certain clothes but I mix it up in my own way haha....
Also want to say that reading this reminded me of a classy lady I used to work with who had the best wardrobe. She was an older lady, but I never saw her wear the same outfit twice. She was a clothes buyer for some major department store back in the 60s and ALL her outfits dated from that time. She was a hipster well before being a hipster was a trendy thing. Hadn't thought about her in quite a long while.
@carolinesdreams Yeah it's been great fun learning about studio lighting. I'm usually an ambient light sort of photographer, so this was all new territory for me. I've been watching a lot of Peter Coulson videos on Youtube as he seems to have a way with studio lighting that appealed to me. :)
