This interesting pump was used to draw water up from one of the China clay mines Just outside St. Austell.

Standing 25 feet tall it was capable of raisin 70,000 litres of water per hour and was powered by a large steam powered beam engine.

But it makes a spectacular industrial sculpture. A fantastic thing to have in your garden.
