I sometimes stop and ponder......... about what each of us creates in our lives, and the impact that this has on the world, both now and into the future.
For example, the skills of a good luthier (Instrument maker) can have an enormous impact. A few weeks work creating a fine musical instrument can have far reaching effects.
It initially has a huge impact on the first owner of the new instrument, as it brings them great joy. This particular instrument has been my pride and joy for many decades and will no doubt bring joy to many future owners when I'm dead and gone.
If played well, it can bring much pleasure to thousands of people in audiences.
If used to record a popular piece of music, it can potentially bring pleasure to millions of listeners.
If it is a particularly poignant piece of music it can bring Joy, comfort, inspiration and solace to many, and can create lasting memories, long after the luthier is gone and forgotten.
Not bad for a few weeks work.
I think we all have the potential to give something to the world, that will bring joy to both the present and the future...... and we should all strive to leave something good, worthwhile and inspiring in our wake :)
Fully agree, one of our friends is a luthier and I am sure he would agree with your words, although a few weeks work is usually a few more than that!! Great picture too.
