Most people who know me, will tell you that I am a pretty environmentally friendly sort of guy.
I recycle as much as I can, I compost, I support greenpeace and all forms of renewable energy. I am one of the greenest people I know.....
However I do have one very guilty secret....... it sits on my driveway looking beautiful and I love and adore it....... yes you read it right it does have a V8 engine........ and each of those 8 cylinders does have a cubic capacity of more than half a litre.... I'll let you do the maths on this one. :)
However I always put forward the argument that I only have a 10 mile round trip to work and back and some days I use my very economical van. So I don't actually do more than a few thousand miles a year in it. The fact that I own it is actually keeping it out of the hands of someone who might have a 50 mile commute and would use it far more than I do.......... thereby making my ownership of it an extremely environmentally friendly thing....... So I would cintend that I am actually saving the planet by driving a snarling, roaring, ferocious V8 Jaguar.
Hmmmm... did I get away with that one? :)
PS. This is another shot from my Zenit 11 35mm film camera fro the analogapril-15 challenge
Well we all have to have our thrill.......I completely get your reasons.....it's not a great smoking factory chimney! I am into fast cars too....mine is very nice but I would like a 330 instead of a 320!
@melston OK..... I admit it...... my love for my car transcends all environmental considerations. How did that Queen song go..... I'm in love with my car, got a feel for my automobile. :)
@annabanana29 Jaguar have been working on an electric car with a motor for each wheel charged by a gas turbine system......... 0-60mph in 3.4 seconds and a top speed of 205mph. Now that's what I call an eco car. Sadly with the price tag of £700,000. I might be able to afford a used model in about 10 years time, :)
