Not Happy by swillinbillyflynn

Not Happy

She is certainly wearing her sad face. This is what I love about street photography. You can capture such a range of feelings and emotions.

I have to admit to being a keen people watcher. I also like to create stories about the people I see.

Last shot from our trip to London. Back to fishing boats and seagulls again now.
Great shot. She could be on her way to work? :)

@karlow75 Glad I don't have her job then. :)

Another great one young man. I really love her expression, as my grandmother would have said she has a face that would turn milk sour.

super capture of her grimace... wonder what she was thinking about?

Super street candid!

Great shot as always, I feel a short story coming on with the thoughts that are going on in her head!
I'm heading to London tomorrow........wonder what I might find?

@sgtpepper That's a look that say's "Don't even think about telling me to cheer up cos it may never happen..... because it bloody well has."

@denisefuller It must be something serious to look that sad. She has either just been fired by her boss or dumped by her boyfriend. :)

@candidzen Thank you and thanks for the follow. :)

Great street capture, may just that moment she is thinking the food she just had in a café.

Yes the set of her mouth and the downcast eyes portrays worry and/or sadness.

sad and angry

@swillinbillyflynn Aye, indeed.

Such a great capture, which has prompted us to think about your subject's inner life. I think she just looks sad - maybe a bit resigned as well - heavy-hearted at any rate. I also like the composition with the two other women, and the lovely bokeh. Fav

Do you mind telling me what lens you used? I would so love to try some street photography (and am in London for another day!) but don't really know where to start

@pistache I'm using a Canon EOS 650D and for most of my street shots I tend to use the Canon EFS 55-250mm lens. At the 250mm end, it lets me get reasonably good portraits from a distance. But any long range zoom lens would do the job. I also use a Canon EF 100-300mm but that one is a bit big and heavy for hand held shots and doesn't have the image stabilisation feature.
