We often overlook some of natures smallest treasures. There is often great beauty in the smallest of things.
I'm sure that the markings on a snails shell tell a story like the rings of a tree's trunk Possibly recording climatic conditions or the type of food that was available. I wondered what the orange stipe in this one's shell indicated. Maybe it shows a particularly harsh winter, or maybe a month or two spend in a garden full of marigolds. Who knows....... I may have to research the subject when I get a minute or two.
