It was once the home of the Cornwall coliseum which as a great music venue back in the day but developers pulled that down and have been trying to build a huge apartment complex there for the past 10 years. They completely trashed the place and turned it into a building site. They built huge sea defences which were all smashed to piece by the first storm that hit them. The local council forced them to completely clear the site after that and it is really starting to look good again now. I think the apartment complex idea has been abandoned for the time being.
