The recording of the new Pirates of St. Piran CD (The Mermaid's Tail) is moving along apace. All the music is done and the vocals are progressing well. It is starting to sound rather awesome...... but then I would say that wouldn't I.... about ten more pirates to record and the mixing and mastering will begin.
A mixture of rocky traditional sea shanties, our own original songs of the sea and couple of pirated up cover versions. 29 songs on a double CD release. Hopefully due out early next year.
We have even been granted permission (by Sting himself) to record a piratical parody of "Every Breath You Take". We had hoped he would offer to come and sing on the track with us but sadly he is far to busy being good looking, talented, rich and famous........ dear of him. :)
I love this art, and a perfect thing to say about it... but wow how cool it is that you got Sting's permission!!! Good luck in your work on the album, how very fun :)
