I finally got a shot of the moon! I love the internet for getting tips on settings and such. So, I obviously did not use auto this time. I hope that it's still big again tonight so that I can experiment again. Have a great weekend everyone!
WOW! that is tremendous! Tonight is supposed to be the technically "best" night but it cannot get any better than that right there without a telescope. This is great! I have intended to try one of these the whole project...But I usually could only get the chance on a Sat. night after after my beverage at El Sombrero at the lake, I am not all that sharp! haha
Nicely done Tara! Especially capturing the light and dark areas of the moon!...may be somewhat funky, but my young grandson in Vermont, a while back did send me a similar shot of the moon that he took with a point and shoot camera, that he took a picture of the moon with this camera through the telescope, the end result was pretty gratifying......
@espyetta@tobi@zuzana@tonyjsisti Thanks everyone. I was pretty excited that it turned out. Tony - that's amazing that your grandson captured the moon with a point and shoot, very ingenious to use the telescope.
Congratulation on a perfect capture. I have my fingers crossed for tonight. Hopefully we will have clear skies. It is foggy at the moment so fingers crossed.
