Common Snapping Turtle

This photo was taken by my youngest son, Ryan. He came across him while he was riding his bike around the neighborhood. It appears to be a Common Snapping Turtle. His grumpy face is pretty funny.

OMG! He looks like a rock statue! Did I tell you about the smithfamily on here? They do this project as a family...so they take pics each day, then vote on which one makes the site that day. Great shot, he does look very grumpy, maybe because his his hiding place was found!

That seems to be a pretty big turtle, we have them here too and get lucky to see them sometimes.
