Butterfly

My first butterfly! I tried in vain to find out what type it is, but I may need to purchase an Audubon Society guide. Anyway, this was another shot from the walk in the woods with Laura.

I saw a few butterflies today but was not quick enough to photograph them. Nice shot.

How did you get it to stay still - they are such energetic little things. Well done - lovely colour.

@gennywren @alwyn255 Thanks ladies. This one stayed on the ground for quite a while. It even opened up its wings, but the sun was too bright and the shots didn't come out that great.
