Saturday Night Lights by tara11

Saturday Night Lights

We went to our Alma Mater, Georgia Tech, for a football game last night. It was lots of fun to see everyone and to sit and watch a great game on a gorgeous night. I was kicking myself that I didn't bring my slr, but I got some decent shots with my iPhone. I had a little fun processing this one. This is the view from our seats (yes, nose bleeds) but it was an amazing view of downtown Atlanta.
Beautiful!

Shocking that your iphone captured this. Brilliant!

@olivetreeann Yes, in person the sunset reflections were amazing. When I was playing around with it I found a setting that really highlighted them. Thanks for your comment!

Wow! I've never seen it from this perspective. We sit waaaay down on the left. What a great view you had in the nosebleed section!
September 11th, 2012
Wow! Awesome! Love the colors in those buildings!
September 11th, 2012
@margonaut Thanks! I guess you're a GT fan? We used to sit on the left when we had regular season tickets, but upper deck. We stopped for awhile due to kids sports conflicts. Anyway, these seats weren't half bad. Go Jackets!
September 11th, 2012
@lisjam1 @orangecrush Thanks so much! I was really pleased that the processing really highlighted the colors.
September 11th, 2012
@tara11 Yes, we are most certainly GT fans! I graduated from Tech many many moons ago. I think we've had season tickets for 22 years now, although there were many years when I didn't make it to more than a game or two a year because of kids and soccer, so totally understand. My husband never had a problem finding someone to take my place though...
September 11th, 2012
@margonaut Cool! What was your major? My husband and I graduated in 1987. I received a BS MSci and John has a BS NE. Neither of us currently use our degree ; )) I'm a stay at home mom and my husband works in software development.
September 11th, 2012
I got my ME in '89. (It was my second degree) Never used it either. Stay-at-home mom too. Although I'm not sure that title applies now that both kids are in college.

Nie composition, lots to see and love the colors of the building.

@sailingmusic Thanks Myrna!
September 13th, 2012
What amazing colors!!!
September 13th, 2012
@margonaut ME? Masters in Education or Mechanical Engineering? My second degree was Mechanical Engineering. Have never used mine :-)
September 13th, 2012
@m9f9l Thank you Mary.
September 13th, 2012
@m9f9l Mechanical Engineering. I'm not sure they have Education at Georgia Tech. Then again, they probably do now. I was floored to find out that they have "liberal arts" now.
@tara11 is MSci Materials Science? I took some awesome materials courses there.
September 15th, 2012
@margonaut It was Management Science. Not sure they have that anymore. I always say its a cross between management and iE. We've got a conflict for the game tomorrow. Cheer on our Jackets for us!
September 15th, 2012
@margonaut How funny! I got mine in '91 and became a stay at home mom :-)
September 15th, 2012
