Pretty in Pink

On the way to the mountains, there were several patches of these beautiful pink flowers in the median. My family wasn't stopping, so this is SOOC, through the windshield at 65 mph :)

I did not take one picture yesterday, so this is a filler from this weekend.

I recognize those! We saw a car pulled off on the side of Hwy 78 (at the 285 interchange) the other day, and when we passed I noticed a woman out in the middle of the flowers. I bet she was taking pictures. So now I'm having a real desire to go do it myself!

Very pretty! I think the wildflowers planted on the highways were actually instituted by Lady Bird Johnson in the '60's when her husband was president. I love seeing them when I travel- they're just a nice sight to see. And it's not a bad shot under the circumstances!
