The fruit pops out of the picture and looks real and appetizing. I would say this is a good choice of light and of focus, and an imaginative background.
It looks like I pasted the image of the orange onto a background from another image, but this is straight out of the camera. I put the orange on top of my iPad that was displaying the colorful background swirl, and photographed it from straight above.
Very clever background. I’ve used the iPad at least once for a background, but generally forget about that possibility. This works really well, with the slight exception of the glare in the yellow. I wonder if it could be cloned out?
