North Bridge Reflections

Here's a better subject for the reflections technique challenge. It's interesting how the sky is always bluer in the reflection. I suspect it has something to do with the differential bending of different colors of light.
Sorry to my English friends. This is the site of the first British casualties from the American revolutionary war. There is a memorial to the two British soldiers who were killed there.

Nice that our boys are remembered. That always interests me about the colour differences - I guess if water is deeper and less light penetrates, the colours are correspondingly darker and stronger. Fascinating subject.

@casablanca I'll get a picture of the memorial in the near future. There are a couple of them, and they are quite close to home.
I am fascinated about how countries and individuals transition between being friends and enemies. I read a very good novel called "The Master Butchers' Singing Club" where two of the characters who had become friends after emigrating to America realized that they were probably shooting at each other during World War I.
