Hi Tim, have you ever tried to capture a water crown? not sure if you own an off-camera flash but that would help, but these instructions will give you an idea of the basic setup. https://www.clickinmoms.com/blog/macro-photography-shooting-water-drops-and-crowns-tutorial/
there are plenty of youtube videos about this if you want to go in depth.

when i did it i just went outside in bright light and used a faster shutter speed on burst mode.

@kali66 I don't have an off-camera flash, but I can try this without it. I have tried capturing raindrop splashes by just shooting in continuous mode and hoping for the best. I'll give it a shot.
