"Tocumwal Railway Bridge... circa 1908"...

this steel railway bridge built over the murray river in 1908 is still being used by modern goods trains today...the centre section can be raised to allow river boats to pass beneath.....in the old days the boats captain would sound his horn when a mile away and give the operater time to raise the span and allow the paddle boat to pass.....
A lovely capture & the reflections on the water are great.

You are off again! Safe travels. Great reflections of the train on the bridge. Did you have to wait long for a train to cross?

Fabulous shot, John. I'm surprised the railway to Tocuwal is still open! Surely it doesn't see much traffic. I know the line is closed north of there.
