Wow, nothing is straightforward! Started shooting in Raw and have discovered that I need to get a decent grasp of an editing program that will use Raw files. I am using the 30 day free trial of Lightroom/photoshop so I will see how that goes. Was hoping to have a look at Aperture but apparently that's going to cease, so I may wait to see what the next option is from Apple.
Anyhoo, I would like some feedback please. I am thinking of putting this image into the next photo comp at camera club. The theme is B&W. I suck at B&W. It's just not my cup of tea at all!!!! Do you think this image is acceptable or is there some tweaking still to do? I appreciate your input on this - good and bad. I can take it :-)
I like it, you have the contrast right and still have good detail in the clouds. love the lines and reflections. I like photoshop but can't get my head around lightroom.
Ha ha Terrie. I did exactly the same thing last night as an experiment. Downloaded the shots and then couldn't look at them. So you know what they say, "If at first you don't succeed, give up" - so that's what I did. And I'm the last person to ask about what is good in B&W.
I'm only learning about B&W however I don't really have a clue. I just do photos because they appeal to me. I think this one you have taken is great......just tell your photo club that "Sam said it is great".......and you should WIN!
