A lizard and I can't remember the variety but his thorny bits were actually softer than they looked. Taken at Healesville Sanctuary during a camera club outing.
Superb shot. I visited Healsville nearly 45 years ago and enjoyed a wonderful day amongst the Australian animals - it was a hands on place then where you could cuddle a kangaroo or have your camera snatched from you by an emu. Good to hear it is still doing its bit for Australian wildlife.
