@deborah63 So Deb, fantastic that you have a drone. What kind did you buy? It's a pretty addictive little hobby and I love taking top down shots. Are you on any of the Facebook drone sites? Another question - were you born in 63?
@teodw I brought a DJL Mavic Pro. It seems pretty easy to fly at this stage, and I love the RTH function. It's come in handy already, I didn't realise how easy it is to lose sight of your drone when your busy watching the image on your screen:) I haven't checked out any drone sites on facebook yet. To tell you the truth, I didn't even realise there were any. So I'll need to have a look.

@deborah63 Me too - born in '63. Bloody good year that! hahaha. I have a phantom 3 advanced. Yes, the Mavics are fun and so little compared to mine. I have trouble spotting the Mavic in the sky. I recently lost visual with mine and had to use RTH function. Some nerve racking moments there. It came home from a completely different direction to what I thought I was in. Just goes to show, we need to pay attention. I am a member on the Melbourne Drone Flyers Facebook page and I am pretty sure there is a Perth based one. Our page is very friendly as I've heard some are not. Another one I'm a member of is Fly Like a Girl - Australia.
