I usually stay away from Great Blue Herons, but his one was being especially cooperative with preening and posing.
On a side note I am 100 photos in, and have learned a lot but am getting more critical of what I am doing and focusing on specific things I want to improve.
Big thanks to this community, the comments to keep me engaged, and the stunning inspirational photos to show me how far I have to go yet.
@koalagardens It really is, I feel and am sooooo much better with processing, macros, long exposures and external lighting now.
Part of me wants to pick up more tricks, like focus stacking and more advanced editing, while the other part says that I need to focus more on the basics like composure, leading the eye, and connecting elements.
