Raspberry. Mediocre painter, terrible speller. I like the style of "illustrated journal" and strive to achieve a (some what) realistic sketch to document objects we encounter everyday.
After drawing this in pencil, I colored in , then refined the lines with a black water resistant ink pen. I also used a white ink pen for high lights. Not too sure about the paint splotches, definitely something to refine.
@theredcamera Ellen, I love the idea of the illustrated journal. You used this so well here. I love how you rendered both the bread with the spread and the jar. I love the way you represented just enough detail and the fact that you grounded them. I like the white highlight on the jar side. As for the splashes, I think they add a lot of dynamism to most sketches, including this one. Maybe you need to find that fine balance of how much paint to have on the brush to get a tad smaller splashes. I definitely know it's not easy. I fail miserably with the splashes. In my own case, they usually ruin the sketches. But here, I like the dynamism they add.

@julie Thanks for your kind words. I put the jar of jam (I had strawberry preserves, shsh) on my art table with the knife and copied it, did the toast from "memory", but I do paint also from quick snapshots I take on my phone.
