Sycamore bark by thewatersphotos

Sycamore bark

Years ago some gave us Sycamore trees when we had few trees in or around our home. We planted several and many of them are still growing. This one in the back yard has always had intriguing bark!
Great texture and colors.

Very cool! It'll shed the dark bark down to a smooth white for the winter, yes?

@rhoing Thanks! Yes, Thom, some do, but the ones we have need "help", so if left unpeeled, they remain like this.
