We've not had many "photographic" sunsets recently, but the clouds made this one interesting!
I've been away for a while dealing with "forced" home renovations after a dishwasher leak...then one thing led to another and more work was involved. We are nearing completion, so I hope to be back more regularly!
Was so taken by the image the first time, I missed the “‘forced’ home renovations” part. Ugh. Plumbing. The worst. Expensive is one thing. Disruptive is another. But unexpected plumbing issues are often both expensive and disruptive. Hope it's back to normal soon!
@rhoing Ha! I knew you would appreciate that! We were almost 3 weeks without a kitchen sink, cabinet or counter top! That is all back in and functioning. Decided to put down new flooring in the kitchen, hallway bathroom (which required putting down new subfloor around the leaking toilet and a new flange and toilet). Now we are waiting on the flooring which will cover three hallways, kitchen, dining room, living room and that hall bathroom. The whole process is going on 6 weeks! Did I mention removing wallpaper in the kitchen and bathroom, then painting... :- ) It has certainly been a learning experience!

If this is all DIY, then good on you mate! Honing your skills by 'doing' is a great way to learn new things - and get a great new look afterwards. What's not to like?
@thewatersphotos We knew flooring would extend the length of our disruption, but we're so glad we did. There is no time to do flooring (or wallpaper) better than when the cabinets are being replaced! Six weeks is a long time when you're cooking-without-counters and washing-dishes-without-a-sink every day (and getting take-out is different during a pandemic), but in the grand scheme of things, I look at 6–10 weeks as more of a “speed bump” than a Homeric oddysey!
@rhoing So well said, Thom! Floors are now in, most things are back in place (had to order a "white" dishwasher) and lots of things have left leaving much less clutter.
