First Presbyterian Church... by thewatersphotos

First Presbyterian Church...

I really love antique churches. This one was founded around 1870. There is a matching parsonage behind the church.

What a lovely old building, so clean and well maintained. It looks great in b&w with those fluffy clouds, fav.

This is a nice building nestled in a pleasant park. The B&W accentuates the vintage aspect.

This is reminiscent of a neighborhood church shot I took decades ago that summarizes my approach to photograph: the utility lines are there and I'm not going to edit them out. This is what's there. This is what the camera & I saw. Nicely done in B&W!

I love those old churches too. We have several that are northwest of Houston called the painted churches. They’re Catholic churches started by the first settlers in those areas.

@rhoing I do agree, Thom! I admit "modifying" some photos, but usually leave what is there!

@milaniet Ha! Unfortunately this town is faltering so underground lines would be out of the question.
