This Thistle is a spreading bunch of spiny greenery!!
Zoom in close to look at all the spiny thorns. The plant is about two feet in diameter...so far! And still spreading.
Boy my husband hated thistle. He forbid me to put thistle seed out in the bird feeder and I had to lobby long and hard that it wasn't seed for the same plant.
That’s the prettiest thistle I’ve ever seen. Much nicer than the thistles in the fields we used to have to get rid of….we hated seeing that thistle down seed heads blowing over the fields & it was a no no to let them fly into the neighbours fields. .
