of another year of 365 Project!
In my younger days the last car on a train was the caboose! When we had to wait "in town" for a train, we would watch diligently for the caboose so we knew when we could proceed. Now there is some electronic device on the end of the last car.
Times do change!
I'm looking forward to another year of 365! It has become great motivation for taking pictures, experimenting, learning and a great way to stay in touch with You All...my distant friends!
It's the same here in the UK. At the end of every freight train was a brake van with a guard who assisted the loco with braking. Now continuous brakes throughout the train means they are no longer required.
There was a train track at the end of the next street that I crossed most days when I went to work. I knew to check the lights or the track for a train when I stopped at the end of my block so that I could go the other way if there was one there or coming, otherwise I'd be waiting awhile for it pass. (Long freight trains). Good to read that you will be continuing on.
