I have just one rowing shell right now, a very stable one that's 21 feet long. That is, with a broad beam, it's not made for speed. But if there comes a stretch when I can get on the water more, I might buy a friend's 26-footer. Clare asked "Why?" I gave her the answer obvious to any man: "To go faster." :)
