Solar Eclipse

We were at 99.5% totality where we live. We planned on driving the 45 minutes it takes to get to 100% totality, but after the traffic I battled just to get home the other day and still being exhausted from our trip, we decided to stay near home. I think it was the best decision for everyone, and 99.5% was still pretty darn cool.
Very cool! I can't imagine how bad traffic got! How did you take your photo of the sun?

@kiwichick Thanks! Haha, it was a bit tricky, but I didn't have a filter for my camera, so I just maneuvered my solar glasses right over the lens and manual focused.

Oh cool. I knew you could do that with a cell phone, but didn't know if it would work with a bigger lens.

@kiwichick I tried it with my cell phone and it didn't work at all...it was just an orange blob, but it did cover my lens almost completely, (at least where the sun was), and I did some cropping.
