Cabbies' Shelter by tomdoel

Cabbies' Shelter

Since 1875, Cabmen's shelters have provided food and shelter for London's cabbies while they are out and about, with some remaining in use today. This one on Russell Square also sells food to the public via the hatch, although only cabbies are allowed inside. The surviving 13 shelters around London are looked after by a trust fund.
Thanks, I definitely learned something new and interesting!
