Custard Apple

We went to the Nottingham Market this morning and I saw this Fruit, its called a Custard Apple, I have never seen one before. ( Photo Opportunity )
The christmas market or normal market? Keep meaning to get to see christmas market but not had chance yet. Looks interesting inside. What does it taste like?

I haven't been to a Christmas Market for some years now -- so many interesting and unusual items for sale I have never tasted a Custard apple --I wonder if it is as scrumptious as it sounds !!

Great capture. Not my favourite fruit - my mother in law grew a tree outside her back door. My sister in law would eat them all day if she could - I find the texture a bit slimy. It's an acquired taste I think.

Nice shot of that bizarre fruit. Tried it many years ago, didn't become my favorite.
