It is a gray rainy day, with a certain mood,not melancholy; more like soft and laid back in a
protective burrow. I usually shoot trying to get some sharpness, pop, color, contrast etc. Not today! Tried different compositions, left, right,up, down. Kept the light low wanted a certain richness, thinking of the old oil paintings of flowers, mostly centered, in old gold frames.
Wanted that type of feeling, a softness, toned down, in harmony with the weather. a certain mood......
I really like the colours and DOF in this Tom, and think you've worked hard to capture the mood you were in. You've done well to portray the old master scene.
